Dee Valley Water – who supplies water to hundreds of thousands of customers in North Wales and North West England – asked us to design an annual report to be shared with their investors in the City. Our client is listed in the Stock Exchange, so due to tight regulations in the financial market, we had to deliver on a specific date, with no room for manoeuvre.

In line with their new vision, we revitalised their branding and presented the information in a way that really signalled the shift in the company.

為了符合客戶公司新的愿景，設(shè)計(jì)公司為品牌注入了新的活力。在展示信息的方式上強(qiáng)調(diào)了公司的轉(zhuǎn)型。

One of the main elements of the refreshed annual report design was the inclusion of powerful photography showing the Dee Valley Water staff at work – a clear reflection of the importance the company places on the people that underpin it. The editorial style images also included ‘real’ people from the communities the company supports.

全新的年度報(bào)告中一個(gè)很重要的元素是包含了大量Dee Valley Water員工在工作的圖片，以此來反映出公司對(duì)于基層工作人員的重視程度。社論風(fēng)格的圖片中也包含了公司服務(wù)的社區(qū)中真實(shí)的人。

The fresh and clean design with bright colours gives the report a current feel whilst supporting our client’s vision for the future, to both shareholders and staff.

The annual report is split into two sections: company information and financial reports. The first section is filled with infographics and fresh photography to help the reader navigate through the vast amount of information. Thanks to skilful artwork, the second section is clearly laid out to allow investors to focus on the reported data.

Designing this annual report allowed to maximise not only our design and artwork skills, but also project management and print buying expertise.Our client provided us with a large amount of images and data, including regular updates on vital financial information, so we had to ensure flawless management of the constant flow of information.

We carefully selected and tested different types of paper and printing specifications to find the perfect match for our client’s goals. The paper we chose has an offset, environmental feel to it, and contributes to the annual report being a piece of design and information everybody can identify with and wants to own. All this whilst maintaining the highest standards in design and tight time management skills.
